The summon of Ardent Abomination is exists before the Smile of Evil aura, yet the damage it does doesn't trigger the Smile of Evil aura.

For reference, the Godblade curse DOES trigger on indirect damage. (http://wl.attrib.org/estiah/replay/2aebb79)

It does trigger on indirect damage.  I'm going to guess that since Jeeves played the Ardent Abomination, it counts as him doing damage and not the person it's attached to.

It seems that SoE doesn't actually check for the origin/source of an indirect effect. It triggers from attach-to-self auras/curses/summons, but it doesn't trigger from attach-to-target auras/banes/curses/summons.

Misha is right, the person playing the charm that applied the effect is always considered as the damage source, even if this effect is on another person and even gets triggered by another person.
