How to Defeat
« on: 20:45:38 - 12/11/12 »
Pure defense decks, at same level.
Short of having a superior spirit value not seeing how to win this.

Being attacked by higher levels.
Most likely not going to win by spirit, simply being overfarmed enough to do enough damage?  Of course they could just run a defense deck as well and win by spirit.

At your level?
Piercing damage, I suppose.

As for being attacked by higher levels... not much you can do about that at level 8.

Either way, what works well and what doesn't work quite so well is going to change several times as you level up.

Try piercing and make sure it's all the same damage type (do not try to mix melee and magic damage).

Just work on getting a few skills to raise your hp and spirit and you'll be walking over top of players in the low level range with ease.

Once you get a little further into the game charm combinations become much more involved so that level starts to matter much less, but for now, if someone is using an all defense deck, just have one more spirit than them and it's yours for the taking.

So far the SPIRIT aspect is the only part of the game that is off-putting, essentially turning any non equal level game a matter of charm count and less about deck strat.  Or so it seems to me.

As soon as level 17 spirit becomes a more interesting aspect to the game, with certain charms that will reduce the spirit of another player and also charms that will add willpower (spirit charm protections). Often a certain enemy, whether player or dungeon/arena may seem unbeatable, but you've just got to change strategy.

In PvP this also means that you can have a very good build against the majority of players in your level range, but then those few people who counter you with a completely different strategy than you expect will get the win. You can never really have the "perfect" deck, so to speak.
