quick question about slayers
« on: 13:10:27 - 07/13/12 »
When the description says "Slayers excel at keeping their enemies in focus and favor charms that always strike where their opponent is weakest." Does this mean the character will make intelligent choices during battle like when an enemy puts up a high ward the character will attack with a melee weapon or attack with a magic weapon that has a high penetration stat?

Shifting damage charms deal damage of the type which the target has less defenses of... That is what the Slayer's class charm usually has.
the former kyoudou
the apprentice kuonhime

Not strictly accurate - it will use the damage type that would do the most damage, ignoring immunity and defaulting to magic if they're the same.  The important difference being... eg. opponent has 80 ward and 30 armour, while you have a +100 to next magic damage, your shifting hit will do magic damage.

As a note to the original poster - you *never* get to choose the order of your charms, even a little bit.
