End Game
« on: 11:08:45 - 08/16/11 »
I was reading the 800 Club thread and it made me wonder...

What thought have you guys put into avoiding the end-game issues estiah 1 has?

those being, among others, a narrowing of diversity, everyone being able to use everything, a shallow opponent pool, the difficulty lvl 47-50 players have against 51+ despite the small level gap, etc etc.

The total amount of stats a player can get will be limited, with the possibility to lower one and raise another instead. Kinda how pet stats now work in E1.

I figured that would be the direction you would go.  Seems the most logical step to take from the current system.  Capping stats makes sense, but will there still be some method of permanent growth?  Can hps, for example, forever be minorly upgraded.  Or some other method of benefiting from Arimithesque style character dedication?

I don't know yet, but it is something we could do now that the pve and pvp world are separated.
