Project: In-depth localized tutorials
« on: 13:23:39 - 04/29/09 »
While browsing the web, it has come to our attention that many excellent Estiah tutorials for new players have been made in other languages.
It could be interesting to share these tutorials and maybe gather them in one place, so that more people can benefit from them.

So we've thought about opening a new section in this forum where we'd assemble in depth tutorials for as much languages as possible.

Obviously, we do not have the means to write these ourselves, so once again we'll rely on the goodwill of players that are ready to make tutorials in their mother tongue. The idea is to post the tutorials here, have other players that can understand the language check it and help the original poster fix the errors/typos. Once everyone is ok with it, we'll move the post to a new section.

The tutorial can be several "posts" long, and can include some graphical elements (screenshots or other) to illustrate them. It should explain the basis of the game (character evolution, battles, charms, gears, skills, jobs, dungeons, guilds, ...) and could also give directions to a new player for his first few days of play.

If you are the author of one of those tutorials that already exist, do not hesitate to just copy them here. If you are not the author yourself, you need to make sure that the author allows you to copy his work, and you need to give him credits for it at the end of the tutorial. also if you have made a tutorial for a language, and there is already one posted here, you can show yours and work with the author of the other to make one version that combines the best parts of both.

Bump to this.

An english version of the tutorial would also be welcome.
Obviously, rewards will be involved.
